【Case Introduction】

Application of High-adaptability Control Enclosures in the Wind Power Sector

During the construction of high-altitude wind farms, a large wind power enterprise was confronted with extreme temperature differences, strong vibration, high humidity and severe electromagnetic interference inside fan nacelles. Conventional control enclosures were prone to accelerated component aging, loose wiring, signal interruption and other faults, which seriously affected power generation efficiency and increased operation and maintenance costs.

1、Extreme Environment Adaptive Design

The enclosure adopts a fully sealed structure with high protection grade and is equipped with high and low temperature resistant sealing strips. It can adapt to extreme temperature differences, effectively isolate the intrusion of rain, snow and sand dust at high altitudes, and prevent internal components from moisture and frost condensation. Meanwhile, the electromagnetic shielding design is optimized with shielding steel plates and shielded wiring to resist strong electromagnetic interference generated during fan operation and ensure stable signal transmission.

2、High-temperature and Aging-resistant Materials

The enclosure is made of high-strength cold-rolled steel plates with a thickness of 2.0mm to 2.5mm. The surface undergoes special anti-corrosion and rust-proof treatment as well as high-temperature resistant spraying technology, delivering excellent UV resistance and aging resistance. It can withstand long-term outdoor exposure and wind-rain erosion. Compared with ordinary enclosures, its aging resistance is improved by over 60%, and the service life is extended by 5 to 8 years, meeting the service cycle requirement of over 20 years for wind power equipment.

3、Optimized Structure Against Severe Vibration

A double-layer reinforced frame and stiffener structure are adopted inside the enclosure. Electrical components are installed with shockproof fixed brackets, and buffer shock-absorbing foot pads are equipped at the cabinet bottom. This effectively absorbs high-frequency vibration generated by fan operation, avoids loose wiring and component damage, and adapts to the complex vibration environment of fan nacelles.

Application Results
