Green Product Design: Crafting industrial "armor" with long service life and low environmental load via eco-friendly processes
Dong'an Group advocates the adoption of an eco-friendly electrophoretic coating process in the manufacturing of its core product—electrical control cabinets. This choice profoundly embodies its green design philosophy of "source prevention". The electrophoretic coating process uses electrolysis to make the paint adhere evenly to the surface of profiles, boasting remarkable environmental advantages: first, it uses almost no organic solvents, drastically reducing volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions from the production source, which directly improves the working environment and lowers the atmospheric pollution load. Second, compared with traditional spray painting, the electrophoretic coating features extremely high adhesion and uniformity, endowing the cabinets with excellent anti-corrosion and anti-rust performance that can effectively resist humidity, chemical corrosion and other factors in industrial environments. A direct outcome of this is a significant extension of the product service life, a reduction in waste generated by the premature rusting and scrapping of cabinets, and thus a cut in resource consumption and environmental pressure at the product end. This initiative goes beyond merely meeting product functional requirements; instead, by choosing a technical path with lower initial environmental costs and higher long-term benefits, it embeds the "green genes" of the product in the design stage, vividly interpreting its philosophy of "environmental protection throughout the entire life cycle".
